The 3rd Annual HRL-PAC Academy Awards Party raised
over $6,500 to benefit HRL-PAC's efforts to elect pro-LGBT candidates. In
addition, over 30 candidates and elected officials attended the event to meet with members of the LGBT community and their
supporters.
The event was held at Milwaukee's Hi Hat Garage on Sunday,
February 29. Guests enjoyed the comedy of Tanya Atkinson, listened to brief speeches by County
Executive candidate David Riemer and Milwaukee Mayoral candidate Tom Barrett, and watched the Academy Awards on two wall-sized
television screens.
