On February 27^th, HRL-PAC will hold its annual Academy Awards party to raise money for political candidates who will fight for and defend lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality. For the third year, the event will be held at the Eastside Milwaukee club Hi Hat Garage and will feature wall-sized viewing screens and a gourmet buffet.

"We’re proud to have built this event into a fun opportunity for the LGBT community to meet with elected officials and candidates. Last year nearly 40 elected officials attended," said Paul Williams, HRL-PAC President. "Of course the event features the excitement of the Academy Awards on two huge screens and gourmet catering from Hi Hat." Funds raised from the event will benefit candidates in the spring elections.

The event begins with a reception from 5:45 pm to 7:00 p.m. A brief program featuring elected officials and candidates will take place at 6:30 p.m. Academy Awards viewing will follow. Hi Hat Garage is located at 1709 N. Arlington Place, just north of Brady Street in Milwaukee.  The requested donation is $75 per person.
